Tim de Wijs, he started playing the violin at the age of 7 and became a professional musician and music teacher after he finished his study at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Music High School). Interested in different kinds of music, he plays in several classical orchestras and ensembles as well as Jazz, Folk and Klezmer music. He also plays the Clarinet and Saxophone. He has discovered the Nyckelharpa several years ago at a concert in Stockstadt, Germany, where Oni Wytars was playing with Marco Ambrosini. Instantly he fell in love with this instrument. At the moment he uses the Nyckelharpa in ensemble "Flutamuze” for several kinds of music, including his own arrangements and compositions.
