Marco Suppo (Italy)

Marco Suppo was born in Turin 1974. He attended specialization courses in the use of the hurdy-gurdy with Silvia Ferrero (Italy) and Christine Demoneix (France) and a workshop on medieval musical theater held by Stefano Albarello. He founded the Ensemble Galinverna and with them he recorded numerous albums dedicated to popular and medieval music: Ladri arditi (1998), Ratones gordos (2002), Ogn'om canti novel canto (2004) and Congaudeant catholici (2008). He also recorded Gaudete! Christus est natus (2008) with Galinverna and in collaboration with the Jubilate Polyphonic Choir of Candelara.
He graduated from the European Nyckelhara Training and wrote a book "Tablatures for 4-row Chromatic Nyckelharpa". See "Publications".
In 2015, with other multi-instrumentalists from the same course, he founded "Nyckelharpa Resonance": a musical project dedicated to ancient and popular music.
